Las Águilas Metropolitanas derrotaron a los Astronautas de Los Santos, por marcador de 8 carreras a 2, para obtener su tercer triunfo en igual cantidad de presentaciones en la temporada 2022-2023 de la Liga Profesional de Béisbol de Panamá (Probeis).

El equipo aguilucho garantizó el triunfo con tres carreras, en la parte baja del sexto episodio, y tres más en el octavo. Mientras que los Astronautas descontaron con dos anotaciones en el noveno capítulo.

Gilberto Chu fue el lanzador ganador tras permitir un imparable, propinar un ponche y otorgar tres bases por bolas en tres episodios y dos tercios de trabajo como relevo.

La derrota se la acreditó el abridor José Amaya quien trabajó tres entradas y un tercio en los que toleró tres inatrapables y dos anotaciones.

Por las Águilas, Carlos Mosquera bateó dos hits en cuatro turnos con una carrera anotada y tres empujadas. Mientras que Eduardo Vaughan conectó de 2-2 con dos anotadas y una remolcada.

Jairo Carrillo pegó dos incogibles en tres oportunidades y anotó una carrera por los Astronautas.

El partido se realizó en el estadio Rod Carew de la ciudad de Panamá.
