Espectacular Sainz contra Hamilton
Carlos Sainz va a terminar la temporada en todo lo alto, un clásico en el piloto madrileño. Su salida hoy en Yas Marina y las peleas con los dos Mercedes con la lucha por la segunda plaza de fondo, ha sido de lo mejor de la temporada.
Carlos, que no puede atacar a Charles Leclerc, ya que pelea por el subcampeonato (algo al parecer muy importante para él) tiene como principal plan quedar por delante de los dos Mercedes, retenerlos (hay 19 puntos ventaja de los de Maranello) y, a ser posible, sostener la cuarta plaza de salida. Y a fé que lo ha logrado.
En la salida le han atacado los dos Mercedes, y ha podido retener a Russell, pero luego se ha lanzado a por Lewis en un interior fantástico, que ha terminado con el inglés volando. Carlos ha frenado por si había sanción pero luego Hamilton ha sido obligado a devolver la posición ya que la pasada ha sido legal. “Qué injusto, me la tiene que devolver”, decía por la radio justo antes de que avisaran por radio al heptacampeón.
Hamilton luego se la ha devuelto en cuanto tuvo DRS disponible y Russell por detrás amagó con dejar a Sainz tras los dos, pero el español recompuso su figura, se sacó de encima al ganador de la carrera de Brasil y contrarrestó ese DRS con el suyo propio con Hamilton a quien dio caza antes del giro 10 para volver a dejar a las dos flechas de plata tras él.
Tras las primeras paradas Sainz ha regresado cuarto y ha mantenido la posición con ambos coches, con lo que asegura su posición y los puntos en unas primeras vueltas estupendas. Incluso con mejor ritmo que Leclerc ha preferido no atacar al monegasco para defender las tarascadas de Russell.
