DAZN, la plataforma global líder de streaming de deporte, estrena hoy el documental ‘Canelo Unwrapped’, que repasa la trayectoria de Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, desde sus inicios hasta convertirse en uno de los púgiles más grandes de la historia. Este contenido exclusivo recoge los testimonios de su círculo más cercano y permite conocer el lado más personal del mexicano fuera del cuadrilátero, gracias a elementos clave como sus raíces culturales o la importancia que tiene en él su familia para no rendirse nunca.
‘Canelo’ Álvarez ha ganado títulos mundiales en cuatro pesos diferentes, lo que le ha llevado a ser conocido en todo el planeta. En ‘Canelo Unwrapped’, el boxeador confiesa que ha llegado más lejos de lo que pensaba:
“En la noche me pongo a pensar y digo: ‘Nunca imaginé la magnitud de lo que iba a poder hacer’”. Asimismo, destaca su pasión a la hora de ponerse los guantes y subirse al ring: “He batallado, he sufrido, me he sacrificado. Sin embargo, amo el boxeo”.
‘Canelo Unwrapped’ revive su infancia, sus primeros pasos o su debut profesional, que se produjo en 2008 con tan solo 18 años, a través de figuras clave como sus entrenadores ‘Chepo’ y Eddy Reynoso, su hermano Gonzalo o sus padrinos. El objetivo de ‘Canelo’ estaba claro desde un principio, tal y como reconoce:
“Las peleas son una motivación para mí. Siempre me preparo al 100% para ganar. Y más que nada quiero seguir haciendo historia en el boxeo y ser uno de los mejores peleadores de la historia”.
